This is so simple it’s almost ridiculous – yet how many of us actually do this?
I challenge all of you to do these two list before December 31, 2015. It will be very revealing. Now, plan your life in 2016 from that list. If you are not living the life you imagined there is no better time to start then the present.
What is it that you are passionate or curious about? What are some long forgotten interests that you “haven’t had time” for recently? What makes your heart sing or your soul soar? These are the things that make you happy, that give you joy. You need these as much as air, water and food to live a healthy balanced life. What have you been putting on the back burner that you really really need? Even if it feels frivolous! That thing!
Don’t make this it into a big project or another nagging thing on your to do list. Just grab a pen and paper sit in a quiet spot, focus on your breath for a few minutes and write the two lists side by side as above.
Compare the lists as suggested and see how close you are to living the life that makes you happy. Maybe you will be surprised how close you are already. Congratulations! it is no small feat to live your life with these two lists in alignment. It may have taken some trial and error or hard choices. You did what you needed to do to create your life to reflect the full expression of who you are. You are living your life as your authentic self.
OR maybe you have a lot of adjusting to do. Thats ok. Sometimes we need to it written in black and white to see how far off center our lives have become before we are aware that there are serious adjustments to make. Only then can we begin to live the life imagined.
